This DVD is the last in the series of 5 Suborbital Pilot Ground School courses. It features David LeFrancois who is the author of “The Suborbital Pilot’s Ground School Manual”. David provides the viewer with an overview of Space Law for suborbital pilots.

The first lesson in this ground school identifies and describes key international laws & organizations that suborbital pilots need to be familiar with. These include the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space, the International Civil Aviation Organization, the International Committee on Global Navigation Satellite Systems, and the International Telecommunication Union.

Many States party to the Outer Space Treaty have enacted national space legislation governing licensing of space activities. The second lesson in this ground school familiarizes the viewer with some of the national and supranational space policies around the world.

An in depth review of U.S. Commercial Space Transportation Licensing is presented in the final lesson.
